If I had known that yesterday you would have gotten lots of money as I bought an extensive collection of different birthday and christmas presents - now it is too late . But I will surely look to support the podcast via amazon in the near future (christmas is coming up!!).

Personally, I think links like that are totally reasonable and I encourage podcasts and blogs to do things like that. I may be biased, since we do it, but I guess it all depends on where you're coming from. We use so much data that our podcast hosting from Libsyn costs about $100 a month, so I don't think it's unreasonable at all to put it out there. Many people are only too happy to help support productions that they care about, especially if they would have been making the purchase already.

If you guys get one, I am planning on using my Amazon account for pretty much all of my Christmas shopping this year, so I will be more than happy to go through your link to make the purchase.

And I see it that way: You do not have to be shy - you also have a "Donate" button on the front page - so why not putting also the Amazon-Link there? You deserve that your commitement here at least pays itself. And in fact it costs us - listeners - nothing, and brings at least something. That is a great possibility.

Some things to point out for all dedicated members of House Manwoody - to maximize the reward with some easy things (I just read the rules regarding affiliates for amazon Germany - if something is totally wrong, please correct me Amin, or delete the post at all if you do not want these informations shared):

- For Amazon Germany the maximum reward is 10€ for each order we make. So depending on the percentage (ranging between 5-9%) it is better for aPoIaF if we order two seperate times for 100€ than one time for 200€ (normally you do not have to pay shipment if the sum is high enough, so you can split your orders easily without any disadvantage).
- You have to put the things into your basket in the same session when you clicked the link - otherwise it does not count. But I also found that all products that are purchased in the last 24 hours count together. That makes especially my first point a little harder to manage - but still, easy and it does not cost you anything to split your orders and wait another 1.5 days to start another one.
- MP3s will bring 10% - coupons 6% (always and fixed)

To sum that up: House Manwoody gets the most out of your Amazon-orders if you always order your things in bunches between 100-200€. In fact the "optimum" - if I read that all correctly - is an order of 112€ (all except MP3s and coupons) / or 100€ (only MP3s) / or ~167€ (coupons) - because that would bring the exact maximum reward of 10€ for each order.

With that we can bring Amazon to pay even more for House Manwoody - awesome.

Make a banner. I just found this and I have been on here for like a month or more. I am an amazon shopper. Ilike buying through them. If I can get their from here easily, I would be glad to do it.

Seriously though, put one on each main page and make it easy to find. Most message board have some kind of ads on them and at least the hosting could be paid for and you guys could save up for the iron throne replica.
