SDCC will be online again, for 3 days, in July 2021. There will also be some sort of in-person convention run in November 2021, though it is not clear what it will be or what will be there.

I am hoping to attend SDCC 2022, 3 years after my last attendance.

I've applied for 3 panels for Comic-Con@Home 2021. I believe that all three would be very useful content for them but they are notoriously selective. Happy to do any or all of them if they are approved. The newest one (I haven't applied for before) is a fan panel for The Orville :geek:

If any are approved then that increases the chance to do them at Comic-Con 2022, which is hopefully in person.

I believe I should be able to attend 2022 as press regardless, so I am not reliant on getting a panel to attend. But I always enjoy participating in panels particularly at Comic-Con. If I do have a panel, that also helps with getting paid non-lottery tickets for friends to attend like Jon and his family.

I have confirmed not attending the special edition of Comic-Con in November, just not feasible.

Still hoping to attend Comic-Con in July 2022. If anyone is interested in attending in 2022 let me know, we may have spare tickets (either free or at least paid) if we get panel(s) approved.

Sounds good. There will be a regular hotel lottery that should be described here in March or maybe later - https://www.comic-con.org/cci/hotels

Worth keeping an eye on I'll try to post about it at that time as well. Hotels are refundable under the regular lottery if cancelled by the May drop-deadline, basically one needs to secure a hotel and then wait to see before the drop-deadline if I can get some tickets available. That's just downtown hotels though, if people are willing to stay at further hotels and commute by car to closer that is another option.
