boneman tbh i am 100% with you, down with amin, that mimi girl should get full reign of the podcast and its full bounty of spoilers.

To be fair: without amin's backstage work of writing to interview partners, editing and contacting guest hosts / forum members and all the advertising stuff (deviantart, twitter, facebokk) - I'm pretty sure the podcast would have died at about episode 70. I think this work os even more important than Mimi's who generously - still - pays for the bandwidth as far as I know.

He who does the work gets the spoil(ers)s :)

A meeting!!

Although it WAS hilarious how surprised Kyle was that it was even happening and how he had been NFId!

I wonder if Mike knew about this meeting.

Re: it is mainly technical stuff like how the server space and traffic is going, standards for xml and image tagging of episodes, etc. However, it was a convenient opportunity to bring up the idea of tshirts again rather than by email - I send a lot of emails, if the hosts are sick of anything from me it is probably the episode scheduling and podcast project emails ;)

Looks like we got a war of 4 podcasters coming up soon, what with Mimi's ambitions and all  .

Plus Chris might return from across the Narrow Sea.

It took me a while when I first started listening to 'get' all the in jokes and references (because I didn't start right at the beginning), but I think one of the best things about this podcast is the sense of humour and crazy theories - it's not meant to be taken seriously - this isn't a literary dissertation on the series, even though despite occasionally having a 'shocking lack of knowledge', the hosts and guests are all generally really knowledgeable and entertaining, even if I don't always agree with their opinions, and they have a really good balance of opinions and personalities (although it has been a bit of a sausagefest recently - bring back Mimi and Ashley!). I think it's pretty obvious that this is a podcast full of book spoilers and generating discussion mainly around the books, but if that's not for you that's fine.

What I like about this forum is that everyone is polite and can keep a discussion on a civil level, like nice and intelligent people in real life do. On most other forums this would have escalated in a vulgar fight.

What a nice community this is, just an observation :)

As Dagos_Rivers suggested, someone should write a fanfiction of The Dance of the Woodies, wherein Amin usurps Mimi's throne, and Mimi has to retake her kingdom with her trusty Charizard.

Amin's dry humor is probably one of the best parts of the podcast. I work from home doing analytics type stuff on a computer so i listen to these podcasts while writing code for hours each day and i burst out laughing at least once. Amin, Chris, Mimi, Chase, all hilarious. Not to insult the other hosts, they just have more my kind of humor. All of the hosts are great.

Honestly dude why would you come onto a forum about a podcast to insult someone who spends hours making podcasts and editing them to say that he is unbearable. Amin knows his shit, has great insights about the books, and is often extremely funny. He also has great chemistry with all of the others.

I think the biggest laugh I had was Amin saying he'd buy a ASOIAF bathrobe and then Mimi interjecting to point out how the ladies would be oh so turned on to see him wearing a robe with a fantasy series on it.

Also Kyle's description of his meeting with Amin where Amin grabbed him and rushed him onto the bus immediately upon meeting him was hysterically funny. What makes the podcast so awesome is that not only do i have interesting and fun conversations about a book series i love to listen to while i do dull computer crap, but that i feel like i know all four hosts and am just lucky to listen in to their conversations.

I think the short answer is yes.

I a Dance with Woodies where would Kyle stand?

Mimi?

Amin?

Branch off and be a third party?

The answer to this would be the deciding factor in who I would support in ADoW.

Kyle is the handsome, brooding outlaw who leads the Brotherhood without Manners. He declares himself to be "weened on venom" (often and loudly!), and rescues Mimi after she becomes lost in the Dornish desert. His Pokemon of choice is a Pidgeot, whom he nicknames "Wang Wang".

I fully support the Brotherhood without Manners.

This has quickly deteriorated into a Monty Python sketch lol

(I love when that happens!)
