I would like to add some of the various House Manwoody meetup photo to our gallery on the main website (maybe event make a 'meetup' tab on there). Let me know which photo (or couple of photos) to use if you want to have it up there, I won't put anything up until it is submitted here.

I wasn't going to use any photo until every single person said that it was OK, which would make cockneymoot hard to do unless it is a photo with less people as there are some non-forumers in it.

There should be some without me or at least cropable?

I know pics of the people are the best but I have a lot of shots of the food and table settings instead of using the group shots which might solve the issue of who can and can't be shown on-line?

Yeah that's a good idea, along with any photos of less people or cropped photos. And you can get a photo where everyone has agreed to it or take a specific photo for this at the next event where everyone in it knows that particular photo will be used and added on for this, there is no rush.

To those that are keeping their images off of this site and other social media sites, I have a question.

Is this just personal preference or are your employers routinely scanning for improprieties or productivity measures?

Supplementary question. Given that we can regularly see "Google [Bot]", "Bing [Bot]", and "Yahoo [Bot]" in the list of logged-in users, are these forums really that much more private than big-name social media sites? (Stir, stir.)

@valyrian Neil. I try to keep my geek life and work life separate as I have a limited online presence for both and a fairly unusual name. Work doesn't routinely scan but in the event of a client stumbling upon one instead of the other it would be awkward. Work knows about my movie/geek life but I do work in a regulated industry and clients don't.

Customers can creep. I've been there.
