Episode 86 was recorded a while back, our final Beyond the Wall episode. I haven't gotten around to editing it yet... it is an extremely busy month for me. But hopefully it will be out sometime this week, perhaps tomorrow (with a quick edit) but no promises.

Thx for the episode. Good discussion - in fact the best of the Beyond-The-Wall-Specials Charles as in "Charles Dance"?

I don't think I ever played to the end of a LOTR2 multiplayer game. The game was just so damn unstable multiplayer wise, it would crash or lose connection and we gave up at some point. It would be cool to play it sometime (no time soon) if that actually works. More fair because I would own at Age of Empires 2 (another past source of sound clips for our podcast)

Easily the best Beyond the Wall episode. Not gonna lie, though: I almost flipped a table when Kyle called ASOIAF "game of thrones".

Hooray for episodes.
I do like Susan Vaught's formula for looking at characters and I agree that Littlefinger comes off as unambiguously a villain when viewed from that perspective. But I wouldn't be shocked if his keeping the Vale out of the War of the Five Kings turned out to be the thing that let a lot of people live through winter. That seems like the kind of irony that Martin would enjoy.

Though I tend to think that Littlefinger will commit his troops at the worst possible moment and that he will be smashed by bad timing.

Amin is an evil evil man...
You had my mind working on how Charles would respond to that kind of question. And overall how he would respond the podcast's "base" humor... as he reportedly didn't like how his character meets his end in the books.

Yeah I wish we did have him lined up for an episode. I would ask how he think's Tywin expresses himself sexually (without telling him info from the books, I want to see what his feel for the character is right now)
