I have a job that varies between badshit insane packed during which I have no time to eat and have to take a cab home at 5AM and totally nothing. Right now it's sorta in the nothing phase, so I started some APOIAF doodles at work. I decided to work on them after I got home this is the work of a few accumulated free-ish days/nights. I apologize for the drawing beforehand because I don't usually draw people-people... er. It's hard to explain. I usually draw creatures and anthropomorphized objects. So anyway, here's some of the pictures and some descriptions... Inventory Queen Mimi is equipped with: Glistening Scepter of Extreme Nerd Rage +10 Damage against all nerds inflicts Confusion on non-nerds for 2 turns Flaming Heart Sunglasses of Dragonstone +10 life detection of slim young hot boys within 500 feet - targets glow pink and are surrounded by hundreds of little floating hearts. Smells like Stannis (brimstone and sour fruit) RACY shirt is a reference to the pictures Mimi used to draw and sign Amin, Hand of the Queen is equipped with: Amin's Feathered Top Hat of Sex Appeal +10 CHARISMA because those theories and propositions need some convincin'. Enchanted with the aura of wild theories and wild nights. Blessed Dornish Mail Shirt of Movement +5 AGILITY 'cuz the Dornish knows the moves Ser Kyle, of the Queensguard is equipped with: Lightbending Disco Collar of Cersei's Cheekbones +10 CHARISMA and imbues wearer with a certain bonus to photogenic-ness (not actually a word, I know) MIKE nametag a reference to GRRM and Kyle Ashley (recently dubbed The Mummer Queen by Brynden) is equipped with: Weirwood Wand of Shapeshifting +5 to Shapeshift, useful for attending several Cons on the fly Hound Dog Doll of Irascibility does nothing but play sound loops when squeezed, like Chase's voice saying, "Winter is coming but not before you do." (unseen) Dog Whistle grants whoever who uses it an infinite number of summoning spells. However, only one creature may be summoned at all times and only one at a time - a certain Hound EXTRAS The Ghost of Chase is equipped with Sweatpants of Enduring Bitterness +3 Barbs/Snark Damage -1 health/sanity/mana every second Mark Addy's hair colour is seen Chase is one of my favorites. I wish he knew how some of us still misses him. Maybe I should have drawn him with that electric razor we all heard and remembered in that one episode where he did some live shaving... Apocalypse Dan! He's consistently awesome (The shirt has a Shaun of the Dead reference.) |

AWESOMENESS would have been a good title but I wish you would have let us guess at the significance of the references. |

jesicka309 wrote: If the Podcast crew approve, I may use this artwork in the upcoming books.....if it's cool with you too. I was just going to suggest that, lol, along with Dickon's explanation text. Nice art work! Btw if you have an art site or twitter or something feel free to share that so that Jess can put that in the text for this as well (you did a cover as well so should get some promotion there) |

That is awesome! I would give up almost anything other talent I have to draw well. Keep 'em coming whenever you can because they are great to look at. Thanks! As for Chase, I've had a theory on why he left for a long time now, but I'll keep it to myself. I wouldn't want to call him or anyone else out on here. But I'm pretty damn good at reading people, even with just a voice, and I think I have a strong idea. It would be nice of him to drop by though, even if it's just a cameo in a show from a call-in. |

Thanks for all the nice words, everyone It's really encouraging! FTWard wrote: AWESOMENESS would have been a good title but I wish you would have let us guess at the significance of the references. Haaha, I'm sorry I'm such a nerd. I love picking up references, even when I'm throwing them out there myself. I feel like a pigeon on the sidewalk with trillions of seeds to peck my beak at... I don't really have an art site, cuz I don't really put much of it online... My twitter is vaarsuvius_ No art there, mostly really random posts and video game related rants :B Nothing to promote but I welcome the idea of making friends. I haven't been able to convert anyone to ASOIAF. Only got some family members to start reading Dunk & Egg and my best friend to read AGOT. U-blitz, yeah, wish Chase'd just drop by. But maybe Christina is right in that one episode where she said he hanged himself with the cord from his sweatpants -_- Dr. A, I'm a production house lackey. |

Yaaay!!! I am so pumped that you liked the drawings. Hahah, I'm not sure what made you laugh so hard at Chase's drawing? Is it because it triggers fond memories of a live shaving event? |

It's me! amin has been in occasional contact and gave me a heads up on this post. I've been around but mostly just drowning in SWTOR and too many other games (tabletop and video games). I've remained a loyal listener but am just now starting to dip back into posting in the forums. Great thread, glad to see how much has grown and changed here! |
