-----------------------------

The first two art books have been completely assembled, thanks to Jessica. The question is, do I release them now? Or do I wait until April 3rd (projected delivery date) for the copies I ordered to reach me? There is always he chance they they might not print or look well because we haven't ordered anything yet, even though they looked fine in the preview and blurb is a good site. That would be bad because there would be no way to give a refund.

So do I withhold the books until early April when I can confirm quality 100%, or do I may the link available (with a warning) and allow people to take the risk themselves if they can't wait?

I would hold off - it would be a shame for the product not to be up to scratch given all the care and love that went into it.

What is in the Let's Draw AGoT v2.0 that was not in the first one? Thanks.

Cleaned up some of the images, a revamped introduction including foreward by Kyle and the cosplay drawing by vietrose.

Did you have a copy of the first one? If you already have a copy, I would say it is not worth buying the new version just for that. We put most of the new content into the second book for that reason, to prevent people from having to buy it again.

I have a copy of the first edition :ugeek: Just wanted to see if there was a reasonable justification to purchase the second edition.

I would save your money and just buy the second one. The first is more for latecomers like myself who want a complete set. :)

Yeah, just go with the second book. Keep your extremely limited first edition copy in good condition, the value is sure to rise in the future :D

If Fedex can be trusted, I should be receiving the package early, this Tuesday! We shall see.

Mine just arrived today. They look pretty sweet - I'm reading through them now to check for errors/problems in printing.

Exciting!!

How the hell did they arrive there before my copies did? I blame the snowstorm

I guess the Australian ravens are bigger and faster than the US ones. :)

I've gone and done it and ordered the first book! Husband can't say anything because of the 100 strong lego mini figure army that greets all our visitors to our home...we enable each others addictions :p

Anyone find a good blurb coupon or one that even works for 10% at least? Someone is looking to buy a bunch of copies and hoping to help out with that.

I used the "ROCKSTARS" coupon and got 15%

BTW looking at the pics online and then having them collected into a physical book is a bit like recalling what you did that night you got really stoned and then seeing the photos - both funny and a bit terrifying :s

It's nice to know there's a community of individuals just as "out there" as me - I am not alone !

First book is available on blurb now for iPad. Though technically it should work for iPhone and other istuff, I am recommending it works best for iPad given the screen size.

Well I have had 3 sales of the iPad version so far :geek: . Once it pays back the costs of making the first book for iPad(almost there), I'll look into getting the 2nd book out on iPad.

BTW: I want to thank Amin for the iPod-version he sent me to test. I think I have forgotten to return the favor by sending a report - but as far as I rememeber somebody beat me with my comment that some of the descriptions were out of place. Other than that: I works great and it looks awesome - I want to thank everybody for the hard work.

And congratulaitions on (nearly) hitting break-even-point.

Just to note, I know that the print copies are a little expensive for the average person. I am hoping to at least have each book available for Ipad sale once I break even on the costs.

I also am thinking of doing a larger, hardcopy print of all the artbooks together once we have the first 5. That probably would be more cost effective than 5 individual purchases of the smaller artbooks right now. Or maybe not, but might make it simpler to get your hands on print copies of the artwork (along with the bonus material we put in for them that isn't available on deviant art).

Well despite the lack of sales, I decided to pay the cost to port over A Clash of Kings to ipad format (if it even sells 3-4 copies that should be enough to break even at some point). I'll let you know when it is up, going to have it tested first to see if it transferred correctly.
