Post subject:  Podcast T-Shirt Design Contest
We have been working on t-shirts for a while, looking to start with an official Podcast t-shirt. To get the best possible shirt, we are opening it up to fan submissions. If we select your design to be our official Podcast t-shirt, you will get it for free (one free t-shirt) when it goes up on sale on our website (plus the fame of having designed it).

Send full size submissions to iceandfirepodcast@gmail.com, subject title should be APOIAF T-Shirt Submission (you may post smaller form previews here if you wish, but try to host the file elsewhere). You may send multiple submissions. Not sure if we are going with a front only and or front and back shirt so feel free to submit variations. References to feathered hats, blood oranges are just some starting point ideas.

No deadline on this yet, but the sooner the better as we are hoping to release them before summer starts.I would also like to get a Bastards of Kingsgrave t-shirt up too, though that is not a priority. So taking submissions for that, except email bok@podcastoficeandfire.com for that (smaller file previews possible here). I can't promise a free t-shirt there as well since BOK has a smaller base and no income flow right now.

I've attached some of the original APOIAF logo photos to this post if you want to work with them. There are already some good variations out there, like my avatar to the left here (made by Kyle).

I have no idea about this sort of design thing, but I'd love a design that I could wear in public without my boyfriend walking ten paces behind me in embarassment. Some sort of artsy thing? Where is PieWhoWasPromised? He would be all over this.

seconding Jessica and Lordmanderblee as well... I'm liking that design. At the same I want a shirt that's more comic book cover lol... I don't even know why! Maybe to fit in with the tone of podcast? Epic, hilarious, addictive etc etc? :D

Mhmm maybe something like:

Maybe with a CoA like this one (Black tree in front of dornish sun) http://imageshack.us/photo/my-images/10 ... lackw.png/ (selfmade with: http://www.jointherealm.com/ for house blackwoody) on the front and the podcast-icon with the url on the back...

Where did you make those screenshots - maybe I could try to somehow realize my idea with the proper tool...

The join the realm site may be useful for helping generate the base image (cutting out the names at the bottom of course) or at least some ideas.

I just googled "design a tshirt" http://www.customink.com/lab seems to be one of the places you can do a mock up.

That's really cool. I might try my hand at designing a shirt when I get on my laptop but I'll warn you results may vary :lol:

I think Kyle's designs especially the second one were great as well.

First one looks the best of the 3 to me due to contrast and also the cool fire and ice 1/2 and 1/2 theme

As for Kyle's the second one is pretty cool, needs APOIAF on there somewhere without cluttering the text, maybe as very small text that is part of the banner (just above the skull banner). Or maybe APOIAF that on the back?

Yeah that's a great design, I'd wear it. The tag line is cool too but I think that shocking lack of knowledge is much more recognisable. I don't know maybe have half and half because I think they're both quite good.
