Hey everyone tonight is the first ever Geekie Awards. APOIAF has already won Best SciFi/Fantasy podcast and has been nominated for Best of in the podcast category. Winners will be announced live tonight. You can watch it all on ustream at this link. http://www.ustream.tv/user/TheGeekieAwards The red carpet coverage starts at 5:30pm PST and the show itself starts at 7:30pm PST. I'll be there representing House Manwoody so tune in and hopefully I'll get to take one of these home.

Oh man! That was such an awesome speech and it was amazing to see Kyle give the fans a shout out. Thanks to all the podcast hosts, past and present, for creating such a great community - much appreciated! And just so you know, we crazy geeky Londoners - Teddard, Jed O White Hart, Erinyes and I, are meeting tonight to represent House Manwoody in a GOT pub quiz. We'll definitely be having a celebratory pint in your honour, good sers and ladies. |

...And thanx to Alias for the original recording :) I can't keep it up indefinitely as it's quite a big file but I'll try and leave it up for a couple of weeks to let anyone who missed it first time to download and record, then it disappears into the ether :p |
