chase is no longer part of the podcast crew. poe is correct, we don't make announcements or explanations for past hosts (except ben, RIP). there are no plans for recruiting a sixth member for the podcast. that's really all i have to say on that subject.

Leaving any sort of group is a usually a pretty touchy and/or personal topic. Since this is a podcast, they don't have the option of just citing "creative differences" Keeping it quiet is probably the most prudent course of action.

Yeah Mimi really isn't the kind of person to shy away from criticism. After all, how many times has she snuggled up to such terms as 'shocking lack of knowledge' or 'sour circle of spite'? The entire APOIAF has been shit on by the ASOIAF web community since its birth, and none of them have really let it sway them from their chosen course. I wasn't there, but I'd believe Mimi kicked Chase off of the podcast for having a different opinion than her about as soon as I'd believe that Joffrey was Robert's trueborn son. Give her, and her chosen co-hosts some credit. They've eaten plenty of shit sandwiches, a few lemoncakes would taste sweet by comparison. Most likely Chase had other things he wanted to do or else, like many other former hosts before him, simply chose to stop doing it for his own personal reasons.

LOL.
