I was skimming through some of the earlier GNO episodes in preparation for the future edition. Here is a classic clip from the very end of GNO 2 (you can tell the shadow-wine was getting to our heads by then). Too bad the recorders crashed at around the 3 hour mark.

This is why I love this show. Seamlessly shifts from ribald humor to a serious discussion of Ser Hyle Hunt's value as a character and an analysis of his motives. At the same time it is getting Elio the side eye treatment from Linda and exploring Kyle's attraction to insane plumpers.

Impressive that you caught that midst the rapid fire chat and overlay. Linda hadn't been on the girl's night out yet at that time (it was recorded after), so she was probably wondering what the hell Elio was doing

I need to start listening to the older podcasts more. This is awesome.

I am very proud of all the GNOs, particularly #2 and #3. I will probably stick the two files together into one major GNO file sometime for an extended edition Because GNO2 was several months before A Dance with Dragons, and GNO3 was after (adding Alex from Tower of the Hand to the cast), they have a nice before and after effect. Elio was struggling to keep his knowledge back in GNO 2 (since he had already read the book) which led to the before mentioned "keep reading" comments [ viewtopic.php?f=4&t=661&p=14151 ].
