I especially like when Mimi seems genuinely disappointed that Sansa has only been beaten by the guards and not raped yet. One of the best moments on the Podcast for me.

Rickon's certainly had it easier than Sansa. Arya and Robb have had it worse. So compared to the Stark's, perhaps she's had it easier, but to talk about any of them having it easy is kind of ridiculous, and this is coming from a Sansa hater. |

welcome to westeros Typical quiet-isle shittalkin' sounds like. Gotta put some Westerosi Relativity into the equation, it's pretty easy to draw analogy: If Westeros is an Ocean, and it's people are fish, It's an ordinary claim to say that Rape is the water. Then you gotta factor in shit like The Mountain which would drastically lower the buoyancy of the water akin to salt vs fresh. And even 5 books later, Sansa's still cruisin' over that sea in an airplane 24/7. Meanwhile the Mountain is down below ridin' dirty on all the unsung inhabitants. Come on Sansa do some shit about that, Arya's got like 500 XBox-Live Achievements on you. I hope Mimi rustles more jimmies, if anything the POAIF is all about immersing into that bowl of brown lifestyle that Martin's serving up. If you don't wake that dragon, George is gonna make it wake for you. I mean christ the Mountain is roughly the force of 7 Mimis and he's in the same space time continuum as Sansa, if you didn't throw your book at the end of ASOS you're probably a Sansa fan. You're probably Sansa. S'all good with Ms.Stark , but folks shouldn't be actin' like Sansa got premium grade Wolf blood. She's been wargin' that fish harder than anyone. |

considering that i'm a hardcore Sansa defender and have always been vocal on that point, they can hardly hold Mimi's pov against the podcast as a whole. And I'm very glad we have hosts with very differing opinions. I will continue to love Sansa and hate Theon while everyone feels sorry for the guy and wants the bitch to die. |

Even in canon rape is considered nothing. Shae completely scorns Lollys and says 'she only got raped!' In the perspective of ASOIAF, that's once of the most heinous acts, and a horrible thing to say about it. Sansa DOES get off easily - she could have ended up like Lollys. That's why the whole Lollys things is there, to make Sansa feel lucky in comparison. How could anyone hate the podcast for that? The blasphemy - it's an opinion, not a GRRM sanctioned statement of fact. |

Hang on, ordering my "Team Ashley" shirt. Anyway, it really ticks me off when people try to play Olympics of Suffering with these characters. Almost every character in the series has experienced horror and trauma, from Dany right down to Sweetrobin. It is pointless (not to mention psychologically fallacious) to assign values to their pain and weigh them against each other. The importance of a characters' suffering is in the way each character reacts to what they experience. how it changes them, and how that change effects their future actions. Debating who's been fucked harder by life is just missing the point. |

You made it clear not one minute afterwards that the vast majority of your Sansa hate is contained within A Game of Thrones. This hater, and also those who responded to her post, took what you said completely out of context. I don't understand how someone who can be so completely offended by what you said, can stomach ASOIAF, which has countless rape victims and rapists. Besides, any publicity is good publicity in my opinion. |

I don't think I'd be able to deal with it in a calm manner, if I were you. I second Petevys, no need to defend yourself. Though I admire the intention and determination behind it, I'm not sure these people would any sort of explanation. Hell. This just reminds me of that episode from a long way back where Chris and Mimi were talking about Arya/Sansa's suffering. Chris was saying how Arya had it worse in the physical abuse arena and how Sansa had it worse in the mental abuse arena. Mimi then said how is it that Arya's trials wouldn't be taxing mentally just because they are taxing physically??? This applies here too, I think. But I don't wanna say too much, this kind of response just frustrates me.

There is a lot that any one of us says (or any of our guest hosts say) that can be taken out of context or too seriously. The podcast has always been similar to the type of environment you have casually chatting with your close friends at the dinner table or around the camping fire. Now, we release the end result for the enjoyment of our listeners, but that factor needs to be kept in consideration. I think that the way the original posts were structured unfairly characterize Mimi, the same way that any of us could be characterized or pigeonholed, if focusing just on one or two lines said in this type of banter. By its very nature, the podcast will always annoy some people and there is no way to please everyone. We all have our opinions and listeners may disagree with them and we welcome constructive criticism. While I didn't like how the original short posts were structured (whereas now I know why the issue struck such a strong chord), such discussion is a natural result of having a growing listener base. If any of our listeners do become engaged in this discussion or discussions elsewhere, please keep it civil like Mimi did with her response. |

The best thing to do is to either ignore it or respond in a non threatening manner. There will always be disagreements in a fandom this large with so many different kinds of people. This podcast may or may not be appealing to different people. It's impossible to make everyone happy. |

How can Mimi be "factually wrong" because i'm pretty sure that Sansa hasn't had Littlefinger or anyone else creaking on her door so far. What's the point of attacking a persons opinion if you aren't going to justify why its wrong. I don't think the tumblr person has heard of people having different interpretations when reading a book. Oh well, it must be pretty simple in their brain not having to consider other possibilities bar their own
