Too late to suggest this now but I was going to say maybe you could record a short audio clip at least to use in a future VOK episode (any meetup could record clips to use in this way, like was done for one of the UK meetups)

Yep it sucked that I couldn't make it out of the office - in retrospect scheduling on the combo of UK Budget Day and Yellen's testimony was dumb. But I was pleased to be a catalyst!

Next time Bina! And yeah it was a lot of fun! We chatted and discussed the books and the community, which was a blast. It's rare to meet people in real life as enthusiastic as internet people. I'd love to do it again sometime

Like Leigh said, we didn't really do that much, but it was really fun to sit and chat with likeminded people. It was like starting on the fifth day of a friendship. (Also, the coffee was amaaaaaazing.) We'll just have to kidnap Bina the next time she lands in NYC

Yes that's true, if someone joined the waitlist now they would quite likely still be able to make it to the event. I believe you may still be looking for roommates as well? This event is the closest we're going to get to a "Manwoody Con" this year, already got some good numbers.

Yeah, I do have a reserved suite. I did end up getting one room mate through Ice and Fire Con, just waiting to hear back from him for confirmation, but apparently the rooms can hold more people. It is a freaking castle after all.
