Clearly YES so long as we take in Ye Olde Cheddar Cheese on Fleet Street. That place feels properly medieval.

Both great choices! The Jerusalem Tavern in Clerkemwell is pretty special too.

I do love the George and the Jerusalem isn't open on Saturdays but...
I was thinking each pub could represent the different regions of Westeros.
Starting at Great Portland Street Station:
The Green Man - Tyrell/Reach The Stags Head - Baratheon/Stormlands The George (and Dragon) - Targaryen/Crownlands John Snow - Stark/North The Golden Lion - Lannister/Westerlands Montagu Pyke - Greyjoy/Iron Isles The Sun Tavern - Martell/Dorne The Moon Under Water - Arryn/Vale Riverside - Tully/Riverlands Hole in the Wall - The Night's Watch
Finishing at Waterloo
We don't need to visit Butterwells or Stokeworths when we've got the big guns already representing. What do you say?

YAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAARP!!!
Although I may have to take a rain-check (that's what American's call it right?) and say next time, as I work on the weekend. But as soon as I get a proper job, I will be drinking you all under the table.
ETA: Also, I have been told that there are photos of the Cockneymoot at Jed's, but I can't find them anywhere. Could someone point me in their direction?

I hope at least one of these pubs does decent food or I'm going to be utterly sloshed!

I'm afraid I can't commit in December or late November. However, I'd hope if we set a date in the not-so-distant future we could get a bigger turn out. 31st January? Something to look forward to in the heart of winter? Is that enough time to book leave Imogen? Enough notice for Gytrash to make plans to travel south? Pret of the Mander has many establishments enroute.

Sounds good to me!
But I have to say that eating anything remotely on a pub crawl doesn't work. Does our route take us past the Golden Hinde in marylebone? Proper fish and chips.

Good call on Jan 31st. December is always frantic, so January gets my vote. And it's just after payday as well.

Mid to end of Jan is good for me. And as no conversation between this many Brits can stay away from discussing the weather for too long, has anyone else got the feeling we've gone straight to winter. It's as if Mother Nature just gave up on Autumn and thought "fuck it, give them snow."

Anyone else who is farther a field and fancy a trip over/up/down is more than welcome to join. We'll have to decide on a # so latecomers can track us on Twitter.
