We are in for shirts, I was thinking about logos from a previous post and put in a call to my daughters friend. I just got it back probably to late. She drew this up. I am not sure how it would work on a shirt but I thought it was pretty cool

P.S. how do you actually post an image, that shows up without having to download it. I uploaded a file but cannot get it to show when someone views the post.

Not sure if this works as a logo option but my daughters friend drew it up and I thought it is pretty cool.

Ticket: Purchased. I'm looking forward to putting some faces with the voices, as well as being amongst my people for a weekend.
Ah, stupid. So, yes, have non-feast ticket, need to find someone who needs a roommate.
Also I'll be driving from Kalamazoo, Michigan, so anyone who might want to carpool all or part of the way, let's do it.

OK. I got the updated Ice & Fire Con logo. Last year we used the color image and that worked since it was a white shirt, but if we're doing black then I think we have to go with black & white. I actually had to reverse the colors so the text showed up since it was black. Here's the new shirt: Also if we go with names on the back we can't change the font. That font is the one we have to use. In the earlier examples I had used just regular "text" which you can choose any font, but if we are using different names I guess that just makes it easier. I think it looks good though. Once we finalize the design I can start the signup sheet to get a specific count. With 10 people signing up the price is $35.35 per shirt. Since we're going with names it is an extra $4.50 per shirt. So if we don't do names it would be $30.85 per shirt. So unless we get a huge amount of people to purchase that is about what the price will be per shirt. We can save on shipping if we have one person collect like we did last year (I can volunteer to do that again if we want). And then hand them out at the Con.

Looks great. Can some of them have names on the back and some not have it, or they are locked into the higher price?

The minimum order for names on the back is 6. So if at least 6 people want the names that can be a separate order. Then we can have the design with just the two logos on the back as a separate order. We would have to pay shipping twice though. The non-name shirt would be $30.85 and the with-names shirt would be $35.35.

Ok let's just go with all of them having names on the back, see how the signup goes. You can get a listed started now.

Ok, here's the link for the Group Sign-up Form. The sign-up is just for sizes and quantities. You're not submitting payment yet. Customink actually has it so everyone can pay them individually if we want later, but for now lets just get people signing up. I've kept the sign-up open for two weeks. That will still give us plenty of time for the order to be processed before the Con. https://www.customink.com/g/aay0-00a1-qm8h***Please put in the notes/comments of the sign-up sheet what you want your display name to be on your shirt!***

I'm not a huge fan of my forum name anymore, so I think I'll go with "Dan(wc)". That should cover the bases.

Forum name or real name, doesn't matter, in terms of recognition most people might recognize forum names when it comes to the well known forum names My choice is easy

I didn't think it was a good idea to try to make a Manderly Cosplay outfit with no experience, so I did commission an original doublet based as much as I could on descriptions from the book. Turns out ermine is actually quite expensive, so we're going with faux ermine. But here's a sketch of it. I couldn't find a merman with trident for the sigil so we're going with just a normal gold trident, but I think it looks good. I'm just running the design by the experts here before I pay for it. What do you think? Side note: I'm not that skinny, so it will look truer to book descriptions on that score as well...

You make a fair point, it's not really the event to be serious at. I've been trying to think up a Hot Pie party costume, for instance. Also, I'm curious if people here are all squared away for roommates? I'd love to share with somebody from the podcast if anyone has a place left, else I'll try my luck with smallfolk on the con's Facebook group.

Just to clarify, I wasn't saying people shouldn't do their actual names, just trying to get a read on what everyone was doing. I think the doublet looks spot on Greg, what are you doing in the area of trousers? That's the part of my Aegon IV costume I'm still not feeling that good about.

Looks pretty good, although I would replace the gold parts with white/grey/silver, but that's just me. Either way works. If you really wanted to go all out, then you could dye your hair green like Wylla Manderly (or if you're blonde then just go swimming in a pool a couple times without washing your hair). Then, if you really really wanted to go all out, you could also make it into one of those Missy Elliot bubble-suits: That would be the best cosplay ever!

Well I remember Thomas complaining last year that he had no place for his keys or wallet in his Stannis cosplay, so I'm not sure. The person who I found to do the doublet said that trousers would work fine, but I haven't bought any yet. I don't think they have a Renaissance trouser section at Old Navy, but I'll look around. My brother has a lot of old stuff he wore to ren fairs back in the day, but he usually just had a suit of armor over his clothes. My brother also said I could take any of his swords or axes, but I don't think Wyman had one. They've got a strict no drawing weapon policy, but if it completes the outfit I would do it. I could do Wyllas instead. I know they fought in Robb's Army. Plus I do identify with Wylas more since he's "quiet and formal", has a mustache, but I don't want to go bald even for Ice and Fire Con.

Based on the event descriptions I've read from people last year, yeah, just a place to sleep is all that I'm looking for. I'd happily fill up one of those spots, or do you need to figure out whether your brother is coming or not first? The Manderley design looks good. I hope you plan to exclaim "MMMM. Pie" at every meal, too.

Looks like we've got 5 people confirmed for shirts so far. You think I should email the people from last year who purchased shirts or just let whoever wants to sign up. They might not know if they're not on the forums. I'll let Jasmine know since I know she's coming back and she got one last year.
