I always enjoy hearing different points of view on the show, because I am not a total purist. Being a comic book fan will do that do you. The podcast helped me get through work, but did you guys record late at night, sounded like some of you guys could use some coffee.

I almost wanted more about the Arya-Tywin interchange. I got a bit emotional during that. They say he can't be killed

You know, this episode has me seriously interested in another 'Girls Night Out' Podcast... Hell, a new 'Guys Night Out' would be awesome as well.

The reason the Lannister helms look like that is to make them easily able to distinguish from all the other million houses. The show is unbelievably complex and ya got to help the viewer out a bit here and there. I never had a problem with them, but it really hit home that it was a good decision in the beginning of last episode with the Rob ambush. I knew right away they were Lannister soldiers talking. Even as a book reader it helped with the confusion. I'd imagine for a first timer it does wonders.
And just like Winterfells flat roofs, they may not be practical, but they are aesthetically pleasing.

I also think they put Ser Gregor in that helm to try and hide the fact that he's so much skinnier... because you put NewGregor into the helm of OldGregor then I think he'd end up looking a lot like Pyramid Head from Silent Hill. Though honestly I can kinda see those characters being analogs to each other.

Pretty good episode, in spite of Amin's technical difficulties. Enjoyed hearing the new POVs.

Ya I think it turned out pretty well in the end. Still we have had a bad luck the last few episodes with audio quality. Thankfully later this month I will be joining Mimi in the elite microphone club with one of these: http://www.geardiary.com/wp-content/upl ... elYeti.jpgAshley has a nice headset with a great mic as well and Kyle's audio quality has always been pretty good. Combined with recording and exporting with a high bit rate, we may actually have some high sound quality soon

what was the deal with all those creaking doors in the background? or was it just me hearing things?

My recorder tells me that it is recording at 128kbps, but in fact it's recording closer to 80kbps. We don't usually use my copy of the episode, but the past 2 weeks we have. All will be better soon.

The doors in my house are REALLY squeaky, and I just havent gotten around to oiling them yet. I was walking around the house with my laptop, not realizing that everyone could hear everything i was doing...

Even with the tangents and technical difficulties, this episode was solid. I always like hearing different views from fellow board members. Yes, even if they think that Brandon was a rapist. I am new to the forum and I am happy to be a part of (though not officially) House Manwoody! Growing Strong!

finally finished listening to the whole thing..... you know given amin's technical difficulties, what this episode came down to was basically kyle, who usually doesnt moderate, being forced to moderate a bunch of guest hosts. i think its an accomplishment in and of itself that this thing was able to get published at all..........
if you think about it this was a full episode basically with out mimi, ashley, and 95% of amin..............almost any other time that would be a recipe for disaster, hopefully the full crew is back next time
plus i second the idea for another guys night out/girls night out. lots of new topics to discuss on top of issues from the new season...........
