Kyle really did a good job on that.

I know that I would have problems because of my time-zone. But I think a "GuysNightOut-WithoutProminentGuests" would also work well - especially with hitting 1000 members here on the board. Possible candidates:
-Amin
-Kyle
-Dan
-FTWard
-Navyjedi
-linecom1/DrAugustine
-MaesterKevin
-Index
-TDuck
-Lex

And inkasrain should join the ladies on their next GirlsNO.

finally finished listening to the whole thing..... you know given amin's technical difficulties, what this episode came down to was basically kyle, who usually doesnt moderate, being forced to moderate a bunch of guest hosts.
Yeah, I thought Kyle did a great job!

The technical difficulties weren't so bad. Actually turned out quite amusing.

I will say, screw Harry Potter, I want a Star Trek reference in each episode. I didn't know other people were thinking that as well. I kept looking around for Picard in his dress uniform and Troi with her camel toe lurking in the background of Dany's scenes.

Oh, and don't make fun of Jorah's wrinkles, they are part of the charm. :)

Thanks a lot guys. I don't mind taking the reigns every now and then, but Amin and Mimi do such a great job I don't want to step on their toes. It's a good skill to practice....how to keep these things moving.

And just like Winterfells flat roofs, they may not be practical, but they are aesthetically pleasing.

And in peace time, they turn back into cuckoo clocks.

Hi there - i have another comment on the discussion:

You wonder how Dragonstone could be taken and somebody brings Stannis and his successful attack during Robert's Rebellion up. But that is in fact the first of two successful attacks we know of. Loras and the Lannister-host also manage to take it in AFFC (with great losses). When I reach that point in the story during my reread I'll try to keep close watch on how they did it.

Isn't it pretty bare-bones at both points though (at least of leaders, which would lead to the assumption that there aren't as many forces there protecting them)? The former only happened after most of the Targaryens had been slain or fled and only Rhaella, Viserys and baby Dany were there and a lot of the forces were probably spread thin fighting the Rebellion. And the latter happened when Stannis had sent most of his forces to the Wall.
