Yes it should work on your computer. Even if it is in ebook only format (don't know what format it is), there are free apps for PC and I think android and iphone that should be able to run it.

Thought this may be of interest: For bored artists out here, the editor is giving away a free copy of the ebook for a person who designs a logo for his publishing company (if he selects the logo). Msg me if you want the details.

For everybody who do not want to wait: Queen Mimi's essay is published as an teaser on TotH! http://www.towerofthehand.com/blog/2012 ... x.html#a,2I have to say that I did not had the time to read it - but the comments are mainly positive! Congratulation Mimi on your work and some in-dept comment by me will follow later. edit: Here is my comment - directly copied from the TotH-comments Great essay, I really really like it. I can not think of any open end your description has and your conclusion that every aSoIaF-fan should read D'n'E is worked out very well. I really like the novellas because of their small scale. Not only in length and volume itself, but also in cast and perspective. I like how in "The Sworn Shield" only ~20 persons have life, fight and die in conflicts out of motives that resemble the causes and motives of the big conflicts of the other stories. And they still add atmosphere to Westeros, without giving anything away. One minor thing I don't like on D'n'E: It is hard to get and I am not interested in the other stories...

Hey thanks! It is up on our site now (main page) and we do get a bit extra cash (not much but better than nothing) when our own link is used. So please refer people to the site link if you do share the link with your friends. Using this link should also work http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B009PN ... ficanfi-20

I have decided to dedicate what meager funds I earn from this endeavour to my personal podcast meet-up fund If I do fly to the US for this, as I've mentioned several times before, I am not sure how things will go at the border when they ask for my reason for visiting

If the book really hits big you can fly to the UK for a European meet up!
I'm 2/3 of the way through - so I've read your and Mimi's essays. Kudos to both of you. It's great to read some intelligent and in-depth analysis of the text. Plus, on a lighter note, I burst out laughing on the Underground when I realised Mimi had actually used the phrase "Not To Be Fucked With" in a legit e-book!
What are the plans for TOTH: FOS discussions/interviews on the podcast?

Mimi's essay for sure. Probably going to have Stefan and Alex on at some point, though our scheduling is getting tough again this season so it may be a while.

As amazing as it would be to have The Actual Sex Appeal on our fair Isle I have to admit as being a total Mimi fangirl I would even offer up our spare room to help with cost if she ever commented on visiting :D

Been lurking for a few months, and listening for a few years, but I think this might be my first actual post here... Picked up my copy yesterday (just found my missing kindle after it went missing for a week and a half, else I'd have picked it up on release day) & read all the essays I hadn't previously found online (those ones, I merely skimmed). So it is a shortish read, but still a bargain at this price. Congrats, guys! Now you are undeniably a legitimate, actual Thing, thus no longer the undisputed blackwoodies of the fan-family! I see maester's boxes (or season 3+ equivalents) in your futures! Here's hoping, anyhow... Like Bina007, I too got a kick out of Mimi's "Not To Be Fucked With", and of course kudos to Amin for slipping in that blood oranges reference! (meaning that he cleverly found a way to insert such a reference; not that he stepped in something slippery that blood oranges refer to, then fell down!) Editing-wise, typos etc. were for the most part pretty evenly spread throughout the book, and by no means super-frequent or at all more common than one would expect for a $5 e-only release. - I'll leave it for someone with more posts under their belt to comment on the amusing irony of Mimi's use of "hoards" when she meant "hordes"... (To be fair, her essay probably had fewer typos than most.) Anyhow, a well-deserved congrats to Mimi and Amin (& all the other contributors) on getting published, and hopefully there will be sequels! All in all, a very entertaining read, and I'm quite sure even the most obsessed fan/forumite will find something in there that they haven't thought about before.

Great Job Amin. I laughed outloud to the Blood Oranges footnote. Mimi, I will read after I read Dunk and Egg.

I posted about "hoards" (just a few hours) before I heard you mention it in the latest 'cast, but I bet you recorded that before you saw me post about it, right? You guys take longer than that to edit, I'm pretty sure... At least I hope so - my first post being worthy of almost instantaneous comment on the podcast would be awesome, but not if it was only in regards to my compulsive (Canadian) spelling nitpickery!
Anyhow, I say we all give Mimi the benefit of the doubt and start spelling it 'hoards' from now on; cripes, she was "born in the Dothraki sea of Inner Mongolia" after all (it even says so right in the book) - she ought to know a thing or two about hoards. I can't speak for anhone else, but the history books are notably silent on the subject of Canadian hordes... The morning coffee drive-thru lineup at Tim Horton's notwithstanding.

I am working on my latest draft of my article for the ebook coming out (follow up ebook to A Flight of Sorrows). I've got a a few articles near completion, probably the one on Dorne will go into the ebook and the rest for the collector's edition, but I have to work that out with the editor. Trying to slip a reference in the Dornish one even though it will only make sense to podcast fans http://podcastoficeandfire.com/press-re ... ing-ebook/
