Brandon the Builder got tired after building the Wall and needed a chair to rest in....
But seriously, I'm sure it's just part of a giant wooden castle or something which burned down, and the only thing that wasn't burnt was the chair. Sure, it;s probably not 'ancient' but I'd say it goes back to when the Andals invaded Westeros, they might have found it there.
But have to come by and add something: It totally makes sense that Mance has ordered Craster to come. He has already bested all other chiefs north of the wall - so he just summons Craster as the chief of chiefs (what in fact the King beyond the Wall is)...
I wonder if Boots and Lady Whiskers also have Twitter...

Haha I knew I was doing terribly with the laughing! I kept forgetting to talk as well. I nearly lost my head when Kyle was reading the chapter summary for Theon...no idea why though.
The people I've played Pictionary with will know that all I do is chuckle away.

I don't buy the story of the swanky chair's being old, either. The Damphair made it. They don't call him AERON Greyjoy for nothing.
I'm sorry if this is super obvious and I'm just slow, but why would AERON Greyjoy's name be significant? I'm not picking up on whatever is being referenced here.

But I figure it was just an old stump. Those longships are probably not designed with comfy seating in mind, and they had probably been at sea for quite a long time... Anything is gonna look like an easy chair after that.

Yeah that was my thought. Iron Islanders aren't exactly the height of civilization and sophistication

Oh man I need a new desk chair since mine broke during the filk episode recording. (I haven't listened to it yet so I don't know if Amin cut that part out.) But I am not paying $800 for a chair. It is a nice looking chair though. Maybe if it had a kraken back.

In general I don't have enough female Austrailian in my life. My car's GPS is set to that setting, but its a poor substitute. On a different level, the episode was a good one, helped me through my first day back from Christmas break at work.

Bahaha I was going to post that clip, Tom! Well, I'm glad I didn't get reactions like "Your accent reminds me of Kath and Kim!" so I guess that's a win for Aussie culture!
