Nice teaser - may I ask in which context Stefan's article came up? Because in that article he came up (in my eyes) with all the things that normally keep me away from BLAH. Like in their discussions he compares in this article Tywin (and the Blackfish) against modern standards, which is (imho) totally out of place for a medieval-fantasy story. And that has nothing to do with the fact that he critizes the Blackfish - I also think he is not right in some of his actions. But you can also not compare King Henry the VIII with Queen Elizabeth II on behalve of their understanding of ruling the United Kingdom.

But that's just their perspective, that's part of the point of BLAH. They look at ASoIaF through a modern lens, which can be a very interesting exercise. They're not saying that that's the way you have to read them or think about them, it's just one way of doing it.

I know - I just wanted to know if that was the context the article was brought up...

Dream Episode!

Great work folks. That was sneaky, saying the episode was coming Thursday or Friday and then releasing it on Monday. Well played.

It was lots of fun listening to two quality asoiaf podcasts merge.

Cracking episode that almost made me laugh as much as Guys Night Out 2. Sean and Stefan were super guest hosts and seemed to have a great chemistry with everyone. Elio and Linda were brilliant as usual.

In regards to the podcast as a whole the last 10 to 12 episodes have been superb basically since season two of the show ended and the podcast really does seem to be in its golden age at the minute.

I haven't listened to the final product yet but I have to admit, while recording this I thought - This one, this one is good.

I think you can tell we all had a really good time recording this one. It was my first time talking to the Boiled Leather guys and they were great fun.

Wow! This is probably my favourite episode since Blackwoody Returns and Chase's epic Hound voice.

This episode was awesome, probably my second favorite after Girls Night Out v3 which forever holds a special place in my heart and loins...

This was golden, guys, it felt like a party in House Manwoody. Feelings of true ebullience were inspired, and that hair-letting-down achievement was successfully unlocked. (It also sounds like episode Mystery Knight-y Nine is on the offing too, so, awesome!)

Typically German fights make me nervous

With half an ear; I was busy casting Sean and Stefan as Littlefinger and Varys in my latest fanfic, "A Eunuch's Armor." They were just catching secret kisses in the dark crannies of the Red Keep... why, did I come up?

I'm missing something here. The last minute of the episode seems quite nondescript to me. Sean/Stephan fanfic was discussed...oh, I literally just got it as I was typing this. I see what you did there, Amin. What's up indeed.

Also, thank you inkasrain for the vocab word of the day, "ebullience" is certainly an apt description.
