About George's Cameo... I don't think it will be in the red wedding. He said he wanted to but wasn't able to make it to Ireland. I heard the bear pit was filmed in LA, so there's a good chance he'll be in that.

He wasn't on set for filming this season. I think he was in Europe in July but filming didn't start until late August/September. Regarding Melisandre and where she is going -

@Ashley, I thought Edmure got it on the third try too! looked it up while listening and after three fails he actually handed the bow to Brynden, making it a lot more gracious and cordial than what was on screen.

I had another theory for why pod didn't have to pay but I can't remember what it was. Something about little finger paying him off for information or something. Turn around on this episode was pretty great.
Great episode though.

As someone already said, George's cameo is in season 4, as part of the shooting in Dubrovnik. So most likely Kings Landing scene.
So, is Mimi like forever and ever staying out of the show related episodes? As much as i disagree with her, i do enjoy her tableflipping.

I get the sense that if they tried to work around Mimi's schedule, they would never get a chance to record, at least not nearly as quickly as they do.

Turn around on this episode was pretty great. I thought maybe Littlefinger threw it as Freebie for Pod as a favour to Tyrion for getting Ros off the hook with the queen. Varys might be right that Littlefinger just sees Ros an a series of profitable holes, but I also think he places some value on her as his madame.

Mimi's working on catching up so that she can rejoin us. However we have this problem that Kyle, Mimi, and I will never all be able to record at the same time, unless we wait till the following weekend... Amin has magic so he's good. I can record evening and morning, Kyle can record morning and night, Mimi can record evening and night. So, yeah.

Great episode though. Haha I love the idea of Littlefinger being like "This one's on me, Podrick. Just remember who paid for your first session with the whores." And Pod being all "Gee, thanks mister!" and walking away whistling, thinking that Mr Littlefinger is sure nice, and telling Tyrion everything. Doy.

Great episode though. Yeah theory #2 mentioned in the episode. Kind of fits in with Littlefinger noticing Pod is in a trusted position with Tyrion Watching that LF/Tyrion exchange again, I found it interesting when they talk about whether the Master of Coin had the power to get someone knighted. First time I watched it I thought, well, they could just ask Bronn to do it. But I kind of feel that it is referring to Littlefinger, who may have gotten (through bribes, etc) Ser Mandon Moore appointed as a knight of the Kingsguard. I think I may be giving the writers too much credit here though.

Immediately before Stannis says he wants another son, he says he wants Joffrey and Robb dead, so the implication is that he wants another shadow baby to kill his enemies. Not for pushing on a swing.

Regarding the end credits music: I liked the idea of juxtaposing a tense and shocking scene with loud, upbeat music. It's kind of a catharsis after the hand chop. What i didn't like was that it was modern punk/rock music with electric guitars and drum sets. It took me out of the story to much. I wish they'd been able to achieve that juxtaposition with a musical choice that sounded like it was actually from Westeros. Especially since it was a song from the books.

I have to say you present the happenings in the book regarding Robb's order to Edmure not exactly correct: As far as I remember does Robb say that he told him to "stay in Riverrun". But we can assume that he did not give any advanced orders like "and let the westeners through". Because even though Edmure is inexperienced, he is not stupid and would not ignore a direct command of his king - insubordination is a big crime - especially in wartimes. And while Robb meant it how he said it, Edmure took "stay in Riverrun / hold Riverrun" as "take care of / hold Riverrun and the Riverlands". And that is not so wrong - Ned told Catelyn in AGOT to "stay in Winterfell with Robb" and meant "rule the North in my stead". So Edmure decided to protect his people (and hold every enemy out of the Riverlands) and thought he stood true to the command - it was finally Robb's fault that not all of his commanders understood his plans, especially if it could be made clearer easily. Edmure did lots of things not as good as he may be could ultimately have done it - but this is not his fault. And the Blackfish is a duche to Edmure - also in the books. And that is not really understandable (normally I like the Blackfish, but here he is very unfair).
Regarding the banker: I thought it is the same guy. But awoiaf proves me wrong: In AFFC it is Noho Dimittis, in ADWD it is Tycho Nestoris
BTW: Good episode - I want to especially point out the good audio-quality.

At the pace Mimi is watching, I would guess that she won't be caught up to us in time. Unless she starts to enjoy the series again and burn through episodes (which might happen after she sees blackwater).
I agreed, it was ultimately Robb's fault as commander. And Blackfish may have been mean or even a douche to Edmure, but he was not a douche at the funeral.

Don't forget that Edmure ordered Helman Tallhart to leave the Twins (and Frey to his own devices) and Roose Bolton to move south to take Harrenhal after Tywin had started marching west to stop his retreat. The "hold Riverrun" order was clearly Robb's fault for not being clearer but Edmure was at fault by moving the pieces around the board without Robb's permission. I'm surprised Robb/Brynden didn't grill him on that either.
But isn't there a theory that Robb/Brynden didn't have a fool-proof plan to defeat Tywin in the west and they blamed Edmure to knock his confidence and then they used the situation to blackmail him into marrying a Frey? I think Stefan mentioned it in one of his anti-Blackfish essays but I may just be generalising.
Anyway, funny episode guys. Good work!

Quote: And Blackfish may have been mean or even a douche to Edmure, but he was not a douche at the funeral. Yeah, the Blackfish scene made my table nervous as all hell. If they want to make the character a douche for the show, fine, but the idea that anyone would get away with treating the Lord of Riverrun that way in public, uncle or no, is ridiculous. That shit don't fly in a medievel honor culture, not even a bit.

Anyway, funny episode guys. Good work! Good point. I think those guys under Tallhart were there specifically to keep Walder Frey honest, too.
