Damn Ashley....How scientific of you!
My prediction about Mimi: She's not enjoying the show, but will try to push through for the sake of the podcast until she reaches the House of the Undying at which point an Omega level table flip will occur. She will never watch another episode of Game of Thrones after that and will never want to acknowledge it's existence except in random scathing comments.
Just my prediction. I have no facts or evidence to support my case.

how is this a prediction when it has already happened? lol i've already accepted the fact that mimi won't appear on any of the episode reviews. its her life and her choice.......whatever thanks to ash, kyle, and amin for sticking with us. if anything i would rather hear from people who actually want to be there as opposed to someone feeling like theyre "forced" to be there. ash, kyle, and amin are good enough as it is..... we'll just have to see mimi on the chapter re-read episodes, where all the show references will fly over her head

Amin is the driving force and with Kyle and Ashley they make a great trio. Hate to say it but I would not be surprised to see her photo go grey someday soon. The show is one of the great book translation that have ever been done...in spirit if not in exact detail. For someone to not even have interest in that and still claim to be a huge fan of the books is a little odd to me. But, c'est la vie.

Just my prediction. I have no facts or evidence to support my case. Hmmm I guess this isn't as funny as it was in my head. Omega level table flipping!!! I'm too big an X-Men fan.

If I didn't like the Jurassic Park movie adaptation*, does that make my love for the book any less valid? That doesn't make sense. *this would be in some fucked up bizzaro world

Amin wrote: Watching that LF/Tyrion exchange again, I found it interesting when they talk about whether the Master of Coin had the power to get someone knighted. First time I watched it I thought, well, they could just ask Bronn to do it. But I kind of feel that it is referring to Littlefinger, who may have gotten (through bribes, etc) Ser Mandon Moore appointed as a knight of the Kingsguard. I think I may be giving the writers too much credit here though. It might be too subtle, but I thought it might have been a hint toward Ser Hugh of the Vale and him poisoning Lord Arryn.

In my view Mimi is actually too much a fan of the books. When your that attached and devoted too something, its much harder to accept the changes made in the interpretation. I agree that it can be an issue when podcasting, as the show is becoming a bigger and bigger part of the Ice and Fire universe and more and more of the podcast episodes become show centric. Though, its not as bad as the guest you had at one point who wrote a "professional" essay about the books, without having read the last two!

Good point there. Even if Hugh may not have been involved in the poisoning, he is the person hinted at being involved and rewarded, at least.

I agree that it can be an issue when podcasting, as the show is becoming a bigger and bigger part of the Ice and Fire universe and more and more of the podcast episodes become show centric. Well, if she doesn't enjoy the series, she's not really missing out on anything. I like the series more because I like to talk about A Song of Ice and Fire generally. Outside of that I'm not sure how much I'd like it, because I can't make it separate in my head when I'm watching it. I for one hope the podcast becomes no more show-centric than it is now. There are a million Game of Thrones podcasts, but only a handful of A Song of Ice and Fire ones.
