Anyway, here is an outline of the quiz on Monday 19th August. Mainly from memory but I'm hoping my fellow Cockneys will fill in the gaps. Don't forget to use a spoiler tag if you want to try it out yourself!

The first quiz on 29th July which I attended had a similar layout but had an extra round based on the Houses. It went as follows and I'm sorry I can't remember many of the questions:

Looking forward to it! And now I realise it really is more show than books focussed I'll at least make an attempt to refresh my memory of who plays the minor characters See you there.

Was wondering what the movie round was. Seems dumb. Too much emphasis on the actors and nothing to do with even Game of Thrones, let alone ASOIAF.

I'm always just awful at show trivia, though I do have a good memory for actor's names. I wish they did way more of these quizzes!

They also did this retarded thing where they asked where the Lannisters derived their wealth, and we all said gold, and they said metals, and wouldn't allow gold, and then everyone rebelled!
Also, they asked for the original inhabitants of Westeros but wouldn't allow Rhoynar!

Hardly! That was a tough quiz, especially that movie part. KCenturion is just an ASOIAF guru.

Great writeup and some of the questions are not easy at all - and some are tricky.

I'm certain the Unsullied quizmaker looked at a map and counted Harlaw Jr as the 9th Island. Most likely a GoogleImage of the pic Erinyes posted. My team answered 7 islands as I never expected them to include the Lonely Light. It's meant to be a TV show quiz afterall and I'm pretty sure there are only 7 on the opening credits of the show!

Is Harlaw Jr where House Saltwoody and House Rockwoody was founded??

Additionally, as my write-up got deleted twice. Other details:-
- Last place was rewarded with a free round of drinks. The team that came last in every round was called Ned's Head.
- 3rd place won £40 and 2nd place won £70.
- 1st place won £135, a trophy with You Win or You Die inscribed on it AND a free round of drinks.
- All the tables had an Iron Throne print-out with the person who booked its name on it. (My Instagram/Tumblr is: cassiusgren, if you care to check it and the trophy out.)
- My team (Tormund's Member Clubs Seals) got 7 wrong answers out of a total of 65? (Some questions in the Westeros round had multiple points).
- We got the Iron Islands question wrong and one of the quotes, followed by 5 wrong answers in the Movie Round.
- Team/House Manwoody must have been in the early to mid 50s but finished outside of the top 3. I believe the Brotherhood Without Manners came 2nd but not sure of their points but there was a fair margin between us as the Quizmaster informed us afterwards.
- I vaguely recall that in my drunken state shouting "THE BEARD IN THE NORTH!" after I received the trophy and prize money. No one else took up the cry so the quiz was definitely a southerner affair!
- Jed bought me a shot of whiskey to go with my free drink and I think that tipped me over the edge into Dontos territory.

The website says the 16th October quiz is the final one but my girlfriend emailed to ask and they are doing another FINAL one on October 21st! So don't be afraid to book up again guys.

Before I make the trek into London: is anyone actually going to the pub quiz tomorrow (Mon sept 16th) I've missed the last few and somehow I think the gods of karma are out to get me and I am worried I may be the only one to show this time!

I was going to do another update of the questions for the September quiz but my heart wasn't in it to write it all up.

Safe to say that my team won for a second time and we got another trophy! The team that was marking our answers was quite knowledgeable as they beat us in the first quotes round by 2 points! But then we dominated the last 4 rounds.

It wasn't as popular as previous months as some tables were actually empty! The final quiz is on 21st October and I hope some of you guys can make it.

The pub is doing a Breaking Bad quiz' at the moment but I didn't find out until the first two were all booked up! My team is going to the December 3rd quiz to see if we have a bit more range than GoT.

I could do the 21at. Anyone else in? Jed? Erinyes? Teddard?

Sorry but that will be our first night after picking up Rheagar - and he'll be too small to leave alone for the whole evening :(

It appears someone mucked up at Monarch because they are hosting their new set of GoT quizzes in April on the same night that Episode 2 airs in the UK. Apparently, they were going by the US dates.
