Well, pretty much at the state to confirm Anime North attendance. Perhaps I should make a separate thread for this as Ashley and I will be both attending.

Just a last reminder as to rooming for Ice and Fire Con in May. I booked a suite in the Castle that apparently can fit at least 2-3 people. I wanted to double-check that there wasn't anyone from the podcast community that needed a room for the convention before I open it up to anyone else from the Ice and Fire Con Group who would need one. I'll be emailing them soon, but just wanted to make sure as it's been a few months since we last posted about it and I know there is a waiting list of people trying to get on. Let me know.

To note, there are only 3 people on the waitlist and 3 full weekend tickets just opened up. Which means that if even one person doesn't accept, there is a chance full tickets may appear on the website tomorrow: http://iceandfirecon.com/index.php/registrationIf you are thinking about attending, it is worth getting on the waitlist as more spots will probably open up before the event and the waitlist gets first choice. Current confirmed APOIAF/guests/listeners list: Amin Ashley Alex from Tower of the Hand FTWard Mordion Claudiusthefool

Yeah sorry I'm so terrible about checking these boards! I have too much going on and too many social media outlets these days, haha. At the moment we only have one or two people on our waiting list so if you're interested in attending I definitely suggest you email us at iceandfirecon@gmail.com to add your name

Even if she flew in on the thursday night, I'm staying with someone who can drive us both down and back from the event. Technically only needs the friday off from work with the right flight, but I don't know her schedule.

Also anyone who is reasonably on the route from Long Island to Ohio I can pick up and possibly share driving time.

Well Mimi can't make it but the tickets are still available - what an excellent chance for a listener or two to join the party

When would you be driving Claudius? And would Philly be too far out of the way?

We just finished recording the VOK Preseason discussion and I think that Brooke (Ashagreatjoy) bought two tickets when I told her about it. I'm not sure how many are left available. But grab them if you can.
I think I'll be leaving sometime Thursday, driving overnight to get there mid day Friday. It's an 11 hour drive from LI to OH. Philly is a few hours off the path, so no big deal or maybe you could get to NYC and we can link up there. I just emailed you about that. Let me know.

(You've got it right. I grabbed my two and while there were still apparently 2 more left as of 10pm CST looking at it now it seems they're sold out. The following is copied from elsewhere on the forum so enjoy reading it twice, those that have. Also I'm sorry to maybe block someone else's chance to grab these but also not sorry cause I reeeeally wanted to go. Can we all still be friends?) Yay tickets! I'm in me +1 lucky friend, WK maybe or some other forum pal. As noted many times in the past, I have like zero IRL ASOIAFandom friends and my bf doesn't get excited enough about it for me to include him, I'm afraid. So I have two prospective offers to extend for my other ticket - but if neither are able to attend, I'll most likely put the other up for grabs on here. And am I understanding this correctly, that you guys may have open space already in Ravenwood and maybe I don't need to go book side lodgings at Honey Fork?

Yes those were the 2 tickets that opened up. There is a chance someone might cancel and open up more tickets before the event but it was a good grab as there is no guarantee of that. Room wise you shouldn't have to go to honey forks as greg has room for at least 1 more person I believe. The girls in the gypsy wagon have room for more girls, though that has the least space and the washroom is seperate so greg's or other main rooms are better, either are far, far better than having to drive back and forth from the honey fork site. We have a spot open in my cabin as well if necessary, though it would be air mattress or sleeping bag unless one of my current roommates gave up their bed to take an air mattress. Also, Greg, if I did get tickets I'd probably end up driving because I couldn't leave until Friday. thank you for the offer though!

Mixed gender is fine, was just listing in case you preferred to stay with the ladies. I think that Greg might have more of a need for roommates right now, not sure who is currently rooming with you Greg? I think we could fit one more person at mine, if they had air mattress or sleeping bag.
The facebook group I listed also has rideshares in the same document, you can look for it or list your own potential carpool - lots of news there so definitely worth joining.

I held off on getting a room mate until a few weeks ago since I didn't think there were any other tickets available so I ended up getting someone from the Ice and Fire con group. James, a friend of the creators of the fair I got for a roommate, but I'm told the castle suites are pretty big, so I might be able to put up both Brooke and John. Amin, were you in a Castle Suite last year? Do you think 4 people is doable? Between the bed and then a few sleeping bags you think that there is room? Here is a link to the suite that I booked. The Shakespeare Suite. It looks pretty big. http://www.ravenwoodcastle.com/room/shakespeare-suite

Oh my good god is that suite amazing.
I am quite short. I take up very little room...you'd hardly know I was there, surely. ☺

I'ld put them both under your group for now, when we get to the event we may be able to take one person to sleep in the loft in my cabin ( http://www.ravenwoodcastle.com/wp-conte ... s-Loft.jpg) if it feels cramped in the room. But the room is in the castle itself while my cabin is a short walk outside, so the castle is superior location wise. I think they charge an extra $15 per person in a room beyond the initial 2, but that's true for any of the rooms, and it covers the breakfasts and linens.

Just a heads up that I plan to bring my game of thrones lcg deck, so if someone else plays they should bring it as well.

Do you know if I have to notify Ravenwood in advance if I'll be having more than two people per room? And would they provide a cot or air mattress or do we need to bring that stuff? I can call them tomorrow, but just wanted to check first. Brook. If you want to claim two spots in my room I am totally cool with that. It'll be me plus James from the Ice and Fire Con, you and John. It seems like we can fit four people comfortably and we won't be tripping over each other. But in reality I don't think we'll actually be in the rooms all that much except for sleeping as there will always be something going on. Let me know if that's cool with you guys. I'm asking $50 per person per night just to offset the room costs which I think is a fair price. When you are sure let me know so I can go ahead and finalize the rooming situation. Thanks.
