Surprised you guys didn't pick up on the fact that Cersei successfully managed to send away from the wedding feast the one guy who might of been able to save Joffery, namely Grand Maester Pycelle.

I'm pretty certain the Manwoody mention is a shout out to the podcast. There's the better part of a dozen Dornish houses/banners that get called in the books, they stopped on the third, feels too pointed to be a coincidence. They also don't recite the Manwoody banner, just say "Manwoodys of Kingsgrave"

Only Pycelle is there during the dwarf joust. He's sitting next to Varys after dwarf Robb's "beheading" clapping like the kiss-ass he is.

Probably a continuity error given they filmed the entire thing over 4 days. Cersei banishes him from the feast.

Just listened to this episode. I expected more Stannis rage! But appreciate that Kyle quoted me for my "Why Axell" comment. I had looked at the comments for this episode before listening to it and the whole time I'm expecting Christian Nairn to join the podcast. I kept checking the time. half hour left, 15 minutes left, aftershow....then it was just a comment! Oh well, I'm glad he knows about APOIAF even if he wasn't on it.

Thank the gods you guys had a co host again. Those Kyle and Amin shows are embarrassingly bad.

Usually I would think something like linking the Manwoody reference to the podcast was a stretch, but I don't know... I actually feel like it kind of WAS a reference.

While studying at the University of Rostock[13] in Germany, on 29 December 1566 Tycho lost part of his nose in a sword duel against fellow Danish nobleman (and his third cousin), Manderup Parsberg.[14][15] Tycho had earlier quarrelled with Parsbjerg over the legitimacy of a mathematical formula, at a wedding dance at professor Lucas Bachmeister's house on the 10th, and again on the 27th. Since neither had the resources to prove the other wrong, they ended up resolving the issue with a duel.[16] Though the two later reconciled, the duel two days later (in the dark) resulted in Tycho losing the bridge of his nose.[15] From this event Tycho became interested in medicine and alchemy.[14] For the rest of his life, he was said to have worn a replacement made of silver and gold,[14] using a paste or glue to keep it attached.[15] Some people, such as Fredric Ihren and Cecil Adams, have suggested that the false nose also had copper. Ihren wrote that when Tycho's tomb was opened on June 24, 1901, green marks were found on his skull, suggesting copper.[15] Cecil Adams also mentions a green coloring and that medical experts examined the remains.[17] Some historians have speculated that he wore different prosthetics for different occasions, noting that a copper nose would have been more comfortable and less heavy than a precious metal one.[2] Nonetheless, in November 2012, Danish and Czech researchers, after chemically analyzing "a small bone sample from the nose" from the body exhumed in 2010, reported the prosthetic was "made out of brass".[18]
