Episode 65: The Blood Oranges Theory

Episode 65 for the week of November 13, in which we talk about Tuf Voyaging (Mimi’s birthday gift), reflect upon our initial and current feelings about A Dance with Dragons, and try to predict the future of the TV series. We are joined briefly by Elio of Westeros.org midway through the episode. The introduction reading after the intro music is brought to you by the power of R’hllor.

As usual, this episode is full of spoilers for both the book series and the HBO TV show. Also, please give us some input on where you want us to focus on until season 2 of the TV show comes out.

OMG, I was laughing so hard at work that I had to stop listening to compose myself. Never before or again do I think I will ever hear the phrase:
“I just think my Nerd rage is to Fierce”
    That made my month.
Thanks for coming back Mimi, I missed you.

Amin: “The next book is going to be great because so much is going to happen.”

I’ve been saying that for 10 years and it hasn’t been true yet. “The next book is going to be great! It’ll have Tyrion and Dany and Jon!” Yeah, that turned out great.

    Deep breaths…

Kyle had a nice Mrs. Robinson moment.

Ah, post-handy sanitary etiquette in Westeros… I missed the podcast.

my opinion of it definitely went up. Little things that I missed e.g the Ratcook and what it means and the Frey Pie, made it x100 better

I haven’t reread this part since everyone made me aware of it. I keep meaning too, but I haven’t done it yet.

I knew when I heard the combination of “Martell” and “Blowjob” in the intro that it was going to be a fun episode

There needs to be an episode where Mimi just calls former hosts like Chris, Aaron, and Chase on the phone and picks on them like she did when they were on the show. I miss that stuff.
