Episode 96: The Queen and Her Hand
Episode 96 for the week of January 20th, in which Mimi and Amin renew their podcasting marriage vows for 2013. We brave the laggy internets to cover cover chapter 27 (Arya VI) and chapter 28 (Daenerys II) of A Clash of Kings.

I propose an episode starring Kyle, Prince of Summerhall, and his digital paramour Jesicka, lady of, um… the Underlands?
(This is basically me wanting to geek out more over your accent, Jesicka
)

Kyle is also a big Craster enthusiast.
Hollywood is indeed a dark, dark place.

Haha inkasrain. I always like to say I’m from Sotheros?
Or the ‘lands that GRRM hasn’t mapped but are TOTALLY there.”

I have a question for Mimi – will you draw a picture for the Storm of Swords project?? We are over half way through and it won’t be a real project without a host contribution….. sooooooo…? Please?
We need more chibis!

hooray! A Firefly BOK episode! I only just discovered Firefly late last year and it’s been an awesome and bittersweet journey… Can’t wait. Also Mimi and Amin, thanks for all the nice words on my pictures…

For some reason I thought this episode was going to be more dirty.
What the fuck is HBO’s problem. If GRRM wants to do something, he should have no problem doing it.
Now that is a great picture,

I went to check out the Mimi’s cooking blog and stared at a bunch of icons for software solutions for a few seconds dumbfoundedly before realizing you said “A Hungry Fox dot com” and not “hungry fox dot com.”
So I can honestly say that out of the two underfed fox websites I’ve been to this evening, your’s has better cooking recipes.
For now at least.

Qarth can’t possibly be the Westerosi Constantinople, it’s far too far to the east. Constantinople is in the Mediterranean, which is basically the Narrow Sea. And lots of ancient cities had thick multi-layered walls.

It can be inspired by Constantinople, along with other famous cities. Cities and characters are not a 1:1 copy in Martin’s world, or it would be boring. It’s location in a tight straight area, its strong trade connections in all directions, its size and magnificence compared to a lot of other cities, its walls, etc.
