Episode 76 for the week of April 29th, in which we review the fifth episode in the second season of HBO’s Game of Thrones. Kyle and Amin are joined by FTWard and Lex from our forums. It is an episode filled with technical difficulties, and a multitude of other guest hosts joining from our forums near the end of the second hour.
Note: For the text transcript of this episode, check out the forum thread.
Episode 75 for the week of April 22th, in which we review the fourth episode in the second season of HBO’s Game of Thrones. We create the name “Middlefinger” and Mimi tries to watch the last two scenes of Garden of Bones live for the first time, while the boys provide a narrative backdrop.
Note: No actual tables or sweatpants were harmed during the production of this podcast. R’hllor interfered with the audio quality.
Episode 74 for the week of April 15th, in which the Podcast of Ice and Fire defy their usual turnaround time to bring you a review of the third episode in the second season of HBO’s Game of Thrones. Guest host Dr. Augustine brings the knowledge in this week’s recap as we gush over Bryan Cogman’s writing and devise hashtags for Theon’s tweets.
This week’s episode includes an extended aftershow for House Manwoody bannermen only, in which we talk about our podcast and its community in great depth. We might or might not have even talked about you.
Episode 73 for the week of April 8th, in which we continue our episode reviews by tackling the second episode in the second season of HBO’s Game of Thrones. Fan favorite Larry from Otaku Assemble joins us for a SPOILER FREE discussion of what we loved, hated, and were slightly aroused by in last Sunday’s episode.
Book readers and longtime APOIAF devotees, stay tuned to the aftershow for a spoilery debate! Warning: Mimi and Ashley’s collective nerd rage running on high after the 1:15 mark.
Note: We forgot to introduce our guest host during the aftershow, which was an unfortunate oversight. To clarify- his name is Jon, he’s 14 years old, and he likes girls with bad tattoos.
Episode 72 for the week of April 1st, in which we embark on the first of many episode reviews for the second season of HBO’s Game of Thrones. Tune in to hear our scene-by-scene recap and thoughts about the premiere episode- including important details like Dontos’ Captain America breastplate, Joffrey Bitch Slap #2, and why Richard Madden is sexy beyond all comprehension.
Warning: this podcast episode (and all HBO’s Game of Thrones review episodes) will contain spoilers for all aired episodes as well as all five published books in the A Song of Ice and Fire series. New viewers of the show who have not yet read the books, you’ve been warned.
Episode 71 for the week of March 25th, slightly late and full of estrogen, in which we host our third Girls Night Out. Returning host Christina and new guests Anita, Nutty [Beyond the Wall] , and Stephanie combine forces with Mimi and Ashley to make this episode a triumph of XX chromosomes. This time, we bring you ladytalk about what it means to be a female in Martin’s world, why the whores of Westeros are always so happy, Jaime’s sweet leather duster, and the possibility that Gregor Clegane would be a tender and gentle lover.
Episode 70 for the week of March 4th, in which we interview Aram and Scott from Atlus, the North American publishers of the upcoming Game of Thrones RPG. We ask Aram (PR rep) and Scott (QA lead) a variety of questions suggested by our listeners in our forums, Twitter and Facebook page. We give them a taste of our typical House Manwoody hospitality and learn a lot about the upcoming game.
Episode 69 for the week of March 4th, in which we host our fourth Guys Night Out episode. Our returning guest hosts from the previous Guys Night Out are Elio Garcia [ Westeros.org], Alex [Tower of the Hand] and Apocalypse Dan from our forums.
FaBio from House Greywatch [Winter is Coming] was unable to make it at the last second, but Stefan from the [Boiled Leather] podcast was able to sub in for part of the episode. Kyle rides in commanding the rear guard for the episode, as some of the guys leave to “make dinner.”
In this Guys Night Out, we start with a lengthy discussion about the upcoming season 2 of HBO’s Game of Thrones TV series. We subsequently move into covering a smorgasbord of topics and theories from A Dance with Dragons, in another episode of Tormund Giantsbane proportions. As always, the discussion is PG25 and contains spoilers for all published A Song of Ice and Fire books.
Notes: This is the [map] that we look at ~2 hours in.

Notes:
There are spoilers for the Hedge Knight Stories, as well as all five published books, as usual. We were talking about the shorter Stannis narrated trailer, not the longer one that we watched after recording. Also, our new editors didn’t work on this one: that will start from our next episode (hopefully), which possibly explains the mediocre audio quality..
Episode 65 for the week of November 13, in which we talk about Tuf Voyaging (Mimi’s birthday gift), reflect upon our initial and current feelings about A Dance with Dragons, and try to predict the future of the TV series. We are joined briefly by Elio of Westeros.org midway through the episode. The introduction reading after the intro music is brought to you by the power of R’hllor.
As usual, this episode is full of spoilers for both the book series and the HBO TV show. Also, please give us some input on where you want us to focus on until season 2 of the TV show comes out.
Episode 64 for the week of September 12, in which we host our first A Dance with Dragons call-in show (full spoiler discussion). For the first 23 minutes, Ashley and Amin go over some of the listener feedback received via email and other mediums. After that, we are joined by a collection of guest hosts from the forums. For future call-in show schedules, keep an eye on our A Dance with Dragons sub-forum. The music at the very end of the episode is from Colossus.

Note: This episode is full of spoilers, so read the book before you listen to it! This will be the first of several episodes dedicated to A Dance with Dragons.
